Sandbox platforming exploration game with procedurally generated random terrain featuring 6 unique biome types, mining, building, and crafting. Heavily inspired by Minecraft, Terraria, and Roblox. Includes fully featured terrain generation including several biomes such as tundra, mountain, forest, mushroom, desert, and volcano. The original prototype for this project was written in pure Python and was rendered with emojis for each tile, this version includes detailed custom sprite graphics drawn across multiple 2D layers rendered parallex to create a '3D' experience. This version is written in pure Javascript using a beefed up version of my rendering engine I wrote for canvas, this time supporting interactive parallex layers. Explore, mine, craft, and build!
Controls:
Hold WASD or Q/E to move, and dig
Press Space to jump
Double tap WASD to place a block, or place an item into a block (for crafting)
Hold Shift to hold yourself in place, keeps your player steady to place a block
F cycles through your inventory
< and > skip through screens (or walk through the sides of the screen to warp, keep going right to explore endless terrain generation)
